IT'S Gwynedd v Denbighshire in a friendly encounter later this week.

For the second weekend running, a new-look Denbigh Town are preparing to tackle Welsh Premier League opposition during their pre-season programme.

Six days after taking on Newtown, Denbigh will be hosted by Bala Town this Friday, July 20.

The Lakesiders will go into the encounter on the back of their match versus Crewe Alexandra last night (Tuesday) and kick-off at Maes Tegid this Friday is 7.45pm.

Elsewhere, a trio of new additions have boosted a squad ahead of its second competitive season.

The 2017-18 season was the first one for Bala Town in North Wales Women's League action.

With a number of last season's ladies having agreed to re-sign for the new season, the club has also welcome three new ladies to the squad.

Catrin Roberts joins this season having returned to Bala this year.

Catrin currently plays for Llangollen Rugby Club, but she will also join the footballing ladies for the 2018/2019 season.

Pacy winger Yasmin Harris joins the club having played football in the Dolgellau area.

Meanwhile, Catrin Jones joins the club from local rivals Corwen.

She came up through the junior ranks with Corwen Girls FC and the goalkeeper joins the Lakesiders as their brand new number one.
