WEEK seven of the Denbigh and District Darts League campaign witnessed a huge shock result to significantly change the top of the A-League standings.
Dafydd Roberts' Golden Lion A side caused the upset of the summer campaign so far when they ousted Masons A 5-3 away from home.
Initially trailing 2-0, the Lionmen roared back into contention to lead 4-3 and they then took the winning points when Roberts himself sealed the deal with a last game win.
There was no such slip up from the high-flying Wingmen, however, who grabbed a 6-2 derby victory over Huw Watson's Wings A.
This put the victors six points clear at the top of the standings.
Ian Jones hit a 180 for the A-team, with Nick Hailes checking out in 16 darts for the table toppers.
Masons B were once again involved in a quality match-up and this particular tie ended up going in their favour.
They defeated Golden Lion C 5-3, with captain Bryan Lewis hitting a maximum and Jamie Clayton finishing a 115 checkout.
Rachel Kingdon was the star turn for the Goldie with a nice 108 out.
B-League leaders Golden Lion B got back to winning ways with a 5-3 success over White Lion A.
Elsewhere, the chasing Kinmel Arms, of Llandyrnog, were held 4-4 at home to Wings A, while Railway B defeated the Hand Inn 6-2.
Veteran tungsten slinger Ray Gage grabbed a 180 as he helped White Lion B overpower the Plough Inn 6-2.
