TEENAGER Evie White was the outstanding performer for Prestatyn Running Club among a big field in the annual Race The Train race in Caernarfon.

The popular event always attracts some quality youngsters and Evie more than held her own among them, coming second in the U-16s’ class.

She was also the second of the club’s 27 finishers and was given exactly the same time as Gary Johnson, who is improving with every race.

Building work at the railway station meant that this year’s course was about 100 metres short of the usual 5k.
