THERE was plenty of top quality action for Ruthin minis and juniors over the weekend.

Ruthin U-7s enjoyed a great game against Llangefni.

The sun was out and the children warmed up nicely to draw the first encounter 8-8.

The Ruthin side then won the next match 12-6, playing really well in the process and working as a team by passing along the line to keep finding the gap.

It was derby day for Ruthin U-8s, who travelled to Dinbych with a squad of 21 players.

This enabled three teams to compete.

All of the teams performed brilliantly and although Ruthin came out second best, the style, support play and determination from the players bodes well for the rest of the season.

In a further derby match, Ruthin U-10s won 45-26 against Dinbych.

The Ruthin representatives played well as a team and spectators saw some excellent rucking and skilful passing of the ball.

Ruthin U-11s made the short journey to Dinbych in a competitive local derby.

Dinbych took an early lead, which they maintained despite a number of tries from Ruthin.

Ed was Ruthin's player of the match.

All 15 players from Ruthin U-12s put in a tremendous shift during their 50-5 win versus Dinbych.

Ruthin U-13s welcomed Dinbych for a weekend encounter and the outcome was a 42-12 triumph in favour of the home side.
