A POWERFUL batting showing kept Corwen on course for the North Wales Cricket League Division Four title.
Travelling to Marchwiel and Wrexham Seconds, leaders Corwen returned having safely gathered a brilliant 178-run triumph.
Tom King struck a superb 131 as Corwen's 40 overs yielded 295 for three.
Also in good form were Kevin Sharp (59 not out) and Mark Wyeth (48 not out).
Gareth Rigden then picked up 5-22 as Marchwiel and Wrexham were all out for 117.
Richard Hughes (2-24) also made his mark.
