IT'S officially the start of a new season at a Denbighshire golf club.
Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club members have started the new competitive season with the annual traditional captain versus vice-captain match.
A total of 48 players took part in this match and it was the team of vice-captain Garry Teeson who took the honours.
They secured an 8-4 victory versus the team of captain Vinny Gill.
Following the conclusion of the match, the presentation for the club's winter league season took place.
Joshua Duckworth obliterated everyone over the course of the winter competitions and he claimed the title by 13 clear points.
Oliver Grey was the league's runner-up, with Harvey Jones in third place just two points back.
Winter league final standings: 1, Joshua Duckworth 202pts; 2, Oliver Grey 189; 3, Harvey Jones 187.
Midweek 13-hole stableford: 1, Wendy Roberts 24pts; 2, Catherine Parton 23; 3, Brenda Roberts 22.
