A CORWEN snooker stalwart is preparing for more final flings.

Rhys O Jones (Corwen A) has again made it through to the doubles final of the Owain Glyndwr Snooker League.

The finals day will be held at the Corwen British Legion from 1pm this Sunday, March 7, and in the all-Corwen A doubles final Rhys partners Nathan Davenport against Wayne Jones and Matthew Evans.

Amazingly, this will be Rhys’ 18th doubles final appearance in 20 years.

He will also be competing in the billiards final, as well, with teammate Wayne Jones his opponent.

In the junior event Nathan Davenport will take on Corwen B’s Dan Childs, while the senior men’s final is an all-Corwen A affair between Nathan and Matthew Evans.

The first finals on the day will be the junior final (table one), billiards final (table two) and three-a-side competition (table three).

These will be followed by the O-50s final (table one) and the doubles final (table two), with the three-a-side event continuing on table three.

Following will be the men’s singles final, while there will be a buffet and the presentation of prizes between 5.30pm and 6pm.

This will be followed at 6.15pm by the team knockout final and the three-a-side final.

In the Owain Glyndwr Snooker League team knockout semi-finals Corwen A play Pentrefoelas, while Carrog hope to snooker Corwen B.
