THE first rugby league shirt signed by new Crusaders player Gareth Thomas is up for auction tomorrow ... in Ruthin!

Welsh rugby union legend Thomas has switched codes to try his hand at playing in the Super League with the Wrexham-based Crusaders.

In a big coup Ruthin Rotary Club has the first Crusaders shirt and ball signed by Thomas and the items will be auctioned off at an event tomorrow night (Friday).

Ruthin Rugby Club is the setting for a race night, which starts at 7.30pm, with the two items being auctioned at the end of the evening.

Admission to the race night is free.

now that football at wrexham is slowly dying a death, and crowds for rygby league seem to be gathering momentum,is it not possible that far more coverage at the leader, of rygby league would be a better option for a wider audience. With more news and info about the crusaders being most welcome.
