Arwel still in fine form

PRESTATYN RC chairman Arwel Jones, from Denbigh, returned to the scene of past glories when he competed in the Moel Unben road race at Llanfair TH.
A former winner of the race over 20 years ago, he finished third this time, clocking 45 minutes 32 seconds for the tough course which was over 10k in distance.
Gordon Jones, from Bryneglwys, was in superb form in the Dolgellau five-mile race, clocking 28.03, with George Nicholls 30 seconds behind.
Other club times were: Paul Brandrick 32.01, Brian Eckersley 37.20, Mike Doolan 38.06, Gill Brandrick 44.50.
