Clwyd beat Shropshire to clinch promotion
IN the final match of the season, Clwyd comfortably overcame Shropshire at Telford by 24 points to 12.
This ensured that Clwyd claimed runners-up spot in Division Four, thus securing promotion up to Division Three, alongside neighbours and champions Gwynedd.
In a nailbiting finale, and featuring Denbigh's world champion Mark Webster, the men's A match went down to last game of the weekend, in which former Welsh international Tony Clark produced the goods and clinched the men's A match 7-5.
