DESPITE a fine half-century from Dafydd Lewis, Denbigh's second string just came up short in their Division Three trip to Marchwiel.

Denbigh were reduced to 23-3 and 36-4 after winning the toss before number six Dafydd Lewis led a recovery, making a fine 54. Danny Hopkins added 18, while Rana Das was unbeaten on 13.

Das was also in form with the ball, picking up 3-29.
