WOMEN'S and girls' football in Denbigh has received a big boost with a number of sponsorship deals ahead of the new season.

Those to provide backing to the club are The Kings Arms, E-Clipz, The Co-op and North Wales Police and a club spokesman added: "Also huge thanks to headteacher Colin Roberts and the staff and pupils at Ysgol Heulfre, also Denbigh High School and Denbigh Leisure Centre for their assistance."

Denbigh Diamonds U-15s played out a 1-1 draw with Denbigh Town Ladies at the leisure centre.

Anona Davies-Smith was on target for the girls, with Rachel Evans recording for the ladies.

The club runs weekly training sessions at the Denbigh Leisure Centre school field every Thursday for U-13s (6-7pm), U-15s (7-9pm) and ladies (7-9pm).
