RUTHIN 159-8
ABERGELE 161-4
(Abergele won 8-2)

RUTHIN are still seeking a first Division Two success of the summer.
They fell at home to Abergele, continuing Ruthin's tricky beginning to life in the higher level after promotion last season.

Openers Rhys Hughes and Huw Lewis Jones gave Ruthin a solid platform, with Hughes' 40 the top score, while his partner added 25.

Skipper Rhys Hilditch Roberts contributed 19, as did John Tudor, while Peter Harrison chipped in with 14 as Ruthin's 45 overs ended with the home side on 159-8.

Peter Harrison was then the pick of the hosts' attack, bagging a fine 3-26 in 12 overs.
