Rod average takes a tumble

THIS past week has seen a mixture of weather at Llyn Brenig with some nice warm days and some other days that were cold and wet, writes Owen Jenkins.
The water temperature is around 10°C.
The rod average has fallen a bit this week and is now around 1.5-fish-per-angler.
A Burdets had a decent day and went home with three fish for 5lb 15oz. He also caught the biggest fish of the week weighing in at 2lb 4oz. He caught all of his fish on a damsel.
T Edwards from Porthmadog also had a decent day and took three fish for 4lb 8oz, all caught on an orange booby.
Boat hotspots have been Brenig arm, Nantglyn bank and hafod lom woods.
The best method seems to be sinking lines fished with boobies.
Bank hotspots have been tower bay, Nantglyn bank and sailing club, while the best method has been a sinking line fished with a booby.
Top flies of the week have been damsels, various boobies and lures.
