RUTHIN still have some Division Two relegation issues after slumping to a home loss to Conwy.
A weakened Ruthin team failed to build on the previous weekend's fantastic win against Bersham and are still in danger of suffering a quick return back to Division Three.
Conwy won the toss and decided to bowl.
Despite the warm weather the wicket was damp and on several
occasions the ball seemed to keep low.
Wickets fell at regular intervals with eight of Ruthin's batsmen being bowled by the accurate Conwy bowlers.
Shay Tudor offered the main resistance hitting four fours and a huge six over the clubhouse in his score of 22 not out.
He however ran out of partners as Ruthin were all out for 75, Gwern Llwyd Owain and Alun Jones both scored 14.
Conwy started their innings slowly and when Hefin Rowlands and Osian Edwards took a wicket each Ruthin saw the opportunity to take something out of the game.
Owen Hughes was brought into the attack and soon took two quick wickets but the experienced Conwy middle order saw things through to the end, despite a couple of scares.
