RUTHIN are looking competitive in their first season back in Division Two, but still seek that first win of the summer.
A fine bowling comeback at Halkyn meant that Ruthin had a manageable target to chase batting second, but the visiting batsmen failed to achieve their potential in a 7-3 points loss.
Openers Ben Roberts and Tim Allison got Halkyn off to a flyer as the Ruthin bowlers initially struggled.
