Ruthin wrap up 'double' in Ireland

RUTHIN completed their season with a successful tour to Dublin.

They were continuing an established friendship with Barnhall RFC whom they entertained at Cae Ddol three weeks ago.

In the return match at Barnhall, Ruthin were expecting a fired-up team of Irish lads and so it proved as the home team scored the opening try of the game within seven minutes.

ON the Sunday, a weary Ruthin side met Terenure College RFC, again from Dublin.

Following the injuries picked up on Saturday, the Vale of Clwyd side were down to 13 but, again, the Irish side sportingly gave Ruthin two players.
