NETBALL: Ruthin Thunderbirds' best performance of the season failed to yield a win as they lost out 30-16 to Flint Foxes.

Flint had the better start and with goal attack Alice Giesby playing very well, they won the first quarter 7-3.

Ruthin came back in the second quarter and with Ann Jones (goal attack) prominent and shooting well, they were just pipped 8-6 in the quarter, to trail 15-9 at half-time.

Ruthin continued to play well in the third quarter, but Flint began to take control and won the period 7-3.

In the final quarter, despite the best efforts of Ann Jones, Flint Foxes took it 8-4 to complete a fine victory.
