WORLD darts champ Mark Webster is the number two seed for next year's BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship.

The fabled Lakeside Country Club will once again be the setting for the event, which takes place between January 3 and 11, 2009.

Denbigh darts ace Mark- who defeated Aussie Simon Whitlock 7-5 in a memorable final in January- is seeded two, behind the flying Scotsman Gary Anderson.

Former Lakeside champion Martin Adams is seeded three for the championship, which will be broadcast on the BBC throughout the week.

Webster is also the second seed for the Winmau World Masters, which will be held in Bridlington between December 5 and 7.

Anderson is again the top seed for the masters, which boasts a cheque for a cool £25,000 for the champion.

It is the busiest- and most lucrative- part of the darts year, with the PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts also on the horizon.
