AN experienced Welsh Premier League striker is to leave Maes Tegid.
Bala Town FC have announced that frontman Les Davies will be leaving the Lakesiders.
Davies' contract has not been renewed for the 2018/19 season and he will be moving on to pastures new.
In his time at Maes Tegid, Davies made 32 appearances and he scored five goals in all competitions.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Les for his services and wish him all the best for the future," said a Bala spokesperson.
Although action on the field of play has come to an end for Bala this season, it is still a busy time behind the scenes.
Bala are delighted to reveal that Chris Venables is the latest Lakesider to sign a new deal with the club.
Experienced campaigner Venables took over the captain's armband for the 2017/18 season, during which he made 30 appearances and scored nine goals in all competitions.
In addition, Venables also represented Wales C in their international against England and he scored in the second half.
One of Bala’s longest serving players has also agreed to remain with the club.
Ian Sheridan has signed up for an eighth year at Maes Tegid.
He netted three times for Town during the 2017/18 campaign.
Venables and Sheridan follow Ashley Morris, John Disney, Stuart Jones, Rob Pearson and Kieran Smith in committing their futures to the Lakesiders.
