THANKS to a superb display from David North, St Asaph 2nds' weekend North Wales Cricket League West Division contest was done and dusted in fewer than 25 overs.
The Saints' trip to Bethesda 2nds lasted just 24 overs and it was the Vale of Clwyd side who claimed 14 of the 15 points on offer courtesy of their thumping nine wicket triumph.
Bethesda were invited to bat first and what a terrific decision this turned out to be from St Asaph.
North tore through the home line-up to grab a brilliant 7-15 from just seven overs, as Bethesda were dismissed for just 33 in 15.3 overs.
The remaining wickets were shared by Amer Jamil (2-2) and David Lloyd (1-1).
St Asaph required only 7.3 over to reach a winning 37-1 in reply.
Dominic Hayes (17) and David Lloyd (10 not out) led the Saints home.
