RHEWL 61-4
MARCHWIEL WREXHAM 2NDS 60
A FIVE-STAR display from Rob Eccles helped Rhewl to a Saturday success.
Spinner Eccles bagged five wickets as the villagers eased to a six-wicket margin of victory in their North Wales Cricket League East Division clash with Marchwiel Wrexham 2nds.
It was the visitors who made first use of the Ruthin School batting track and they were bowled out for 60 in the 24th over.
Eccles bagged 5-16 from his 6.1 overs, while Huw Lewis Jones was hugely economical in claiming 3-7 from nine overs.
The other wicket went to Dyfan Parry (1-13).
Rhewl eased to 61-4 in reply, with Huw Lewis Jones (27 not out) and Gareth Morewood (22) in good form.
