LLANRHAEADR 2

CEFN 2

WHILE their perfect record has come to an end, Cefn are still looking strong favourites to win this season's Summer League.

After winning 14 on the trot before Monday, Cefn were twice pegged back during their 2-2 draw at Llanrhaeadr.

Strikes from San Benbow and Steffan Williams had the visiting side on course to grab another victory, but responses from Wil Roberts and Ian Evans ensured Llan claimed a share of the spoils.

HENLLAN 6

YSCEIFIOG 2

THIS really was a game of two halves.

While defending champions Henllan held a 5-0 lead at the interval, Ysceifiog improved when the match got underway once more, winning the second half 2-1.

Four goals from top scorer Sam Jones caused the bulk of the damage, while Nedw Clwyd and Ed Jones also found the target for the hosts, who move to within four points of leaders Cefn.

Keith Ainsworth and Marcus Penrhyn-Jones supplied Ysceifiog's second half goals.

LLANGYNHAFAL 2

LLANDYRNOG 5

FIVE-STAR Llandyrnog were made to work hard for the three points against Llangynhafal.

Two terrific Charlie Caton strikes had the lads in orange ahead shortly before the break, but Luke Humphreys' excellent 25-yard goal made it 2-2 at half-time.

Humphreys netted from the spot in the second half, before goals from Chris Evans and Eddie Evans sealed the deal.

Tom Weyman had earlier opened the scoring.

NANTGLYN 1

RHEWL 1

MEETINGS between Nantglyn and Rhewl have been close ones this season.

Following on from their thrilling 4-4 draw earlier in the campaign, the two sides played out a 1-1 meeting on Monday evening.

Geraint Jones' ninth goal of the season gave the hosts the lead, but Rhewl salvaged a point via an own goal.

CAERWYS 3

LLANFAIR 3

EVEN Caerwys boss Shaun Davies couldn't visualise a comeback from his side!

Dylan Pugh's Llanfair had a three-nil advantage and were seemingly on course for a comfortable success.

However, Caerwys fought back during an amazing 10-minute spell, with Declan Brimage, Will Samson and an own goal making it three-apiece.

Earlier, Llanfair were in a far happier mood after two goals from Llyr Morris and a cracking effort from George Ryan.
