HENLLAN 6
LLANGYNHAFAL 2
THEY'RE not giving up the ghost of retaining their Summer League crown at Top Park just yet.
Henllan made sure they grabbed their sixth victory in a row when they saw off the challenge of brave Llangynhafal on Monday evening.
The three points were still in the balance with 10 minutes left to play and at that stage, Henllan's advantage was just a slender 2-1.
A four-goal haul from Sam Jones took his tally for the season up to 35 goals, two clear of chief rival Jake Walker in the battle to claim this season's golden boot.
Further efforts for the home side were delivered by Ynyr Clwyd and Morgan Jones.
Llangynhafal supplied a battling and hard-working display on the evening, which was rewarded via goals from Pete Jones and Dave MacCarter.
