WEEK eight of the Denbigh and District Darts League saw Masons A keep their unbeaten record... but only just!

They found themselves 3-1 down away at Wings A, but the league leaders then managed to turn the tie around to snatch a 5-3 victory.

There was plenty of quality in this fixture, particularly from Masons A, with 180s from Mark Webster and Dave Davies, a 118 checkout by Eifion Hughes and a 13-dart leg from Davies.

Hope & Anchor held on to second place after their 6-2 win at Masons B, while Golden Lion A romped to a 7-1 victory at The Kinmel Arms.

Railway A got the better of Golden Lion C 7-1, with 180s here from Carl Jones and Steve M Jones, while Dafydd Roberts took out a 110 finish.

The Plough Inn are fast becoming contenders for a top-two finish in the B-League. Wayne Jenkins' side picked up another great win to climb into second place, after a 5-3 verdict over Wings B.

The Hand Inn got back to winning ways after their first defeat the previous week.

They took care of an out-of-form Golden Lion B 5-3, with Hand man Steve Evans taking out a lovely 122 finish.

It's been a hard campaign for the Masons' Superleague side.

After last season's top five finish, they find themselves in the lower reaches of the league on the back of their indifferent form.

However, they did produce a much-needed victory over the Halfway House in a recent contest.

The scoreline was 5-3, with Peter Sim-Mutch taking the man of the match honours courtesy of his 26.57 one-dart average.

A week later and things looked positive when the Masons found themselves 3-0 up at The Westminster of Saltney, but they then imploded to record a 5-3 loss.

Dil Martin, Dave Davies and Pete Lewis were the Masons' winners.
