A PHOTO of a former Wrexham nightclub recently sparked lots of memories of people's time there.

Opened in 1989, Scotts was the place to be, with several floors of music, dancing and socialising.

The photo that started the trip down memory lane was of the interior.

The club closed in 2008, after owner and former footballer Bob Scott decided not to renew the lease, one reason being to spend more time with his family.

After 19 years of running the popular venue and being involved in community and charity efforts, Bob was ready to move on.

At the time he said: "It’s been nice to be the catalyst for so many marriages and to have the opportunity to help charities.

“I’ve met so many characters and we’ve seen two generations coming through the door with the children of people who came when we first opened coming on the Saturday night.

“I never thought I’d see the day when I gave it up but I’ve been a wild man in football and with the club and I couldn’t have wished for anything else.”
