A FAMILIAR face has returned to help Bala Town in their efforts to secure European qualification in the second half of the season.

The Lakesiders are delighted to announce the return of Nathan Burke to Maes Tegid, with the midfielder signing from City of Liverpool FC.

The 27 year-old re-joins Town having previously spent four-and-a-half seasons at the club between 2016 and 2020.

Burke made almost 140 appearances during his first stint at the club and he featured in six European fixtures, scoring one European goal during his time at Maes Tegid.

During his successful first stint, Burke was also apart of the Welsh Cup-winning side in 2016.

After he left Maes Tegid departure, Burke made a move to FC United of Manchester, before joining his hometown club City of Liverpool FC.

Burke was also made captain of his hometown club shortly after joining and he has been the skipper ever since.

The midfielder came through the Liverpool FC Academy, featuring for various age groups and he held the captain's armband in some of the age groups.

He spent nine years at Liverpool's Academy before leaving in 2014 to sign for Warrington Town.

Burke will wear the number 16 shirt for the Lakesiders.
