A DUO of of Welsh punk royalty will present a night of blistering underground music in Rhyl next month.

Rhys Mwyn, former bassist of Welsh language legends Anrhefn and punk zine scribe Neil Crud will take to the stage with their latest line ups White Ether and Spam Javelin at Archie's Bar in Prestatyn on Tuesday, December 11.

White Ether are a Caernarfon based four piece playing original material influenced by late 70s rock, punk and new wave.

They got together in early 2016 when three members of another Caernarfon band, DFA, decided on a fresh start before they were joined by Mwyn, whose thundering basslines allow the band's thrashing guitars to soar White Ether far beyond the sum of its parts.

The band will be hitting Rhyl following the release of their second EP Red Sky in May this year, as well as a winning performance in industry platform FOCUS Wales in Wrexham.

Snarling brethren, and stalwarts of the North Wales scene, Spam Javelin are Crud's current venture for agitating delicate sensibilities and swimming against the tide of banal popular culture - as well as bland, sanitised pop -with plenty of sardonic humour and hard hitting punk power.all wrapped up in a incredibly fun live show experience.

Joining the elders of North Wales punk and providing a change of pace is Penmaenmawr based singer songwriter Stevie EH.

For the uninitiated, see what all the fuss is about at Archies bar on Tuesday, December 11 at 9pm.

Tickets are £3, available on the door.
