IT’S that jolly time of year again...it is panto time!

Oh not it isn’t.

OH YES IT IS!

Well, it is in Holyhead. The Ucheldre Centre performing and visual arts centre is getting audiences into the traditional Christmas pantomime spirit this year with a colourful production of Pinocchio.

Anvil Productions bring the traditional story alive to delight families, children and big kids everywhere.

There are all sorts of characters in this year’s show. The audience get to meet Pinocchio, his father Gipetto, his conscience Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy, along with his friends including Harlequin the Jester, his beautiful girlfriend Columbina and the outrageous Punch and Judy.

Pinocchio is busy telling his story to the audience, when his best friend Harlequin desperately asks for his help to rescue his girlfriend Columbina, caught in the clutches of Mr Punch.

Principle Boy Helen Green leads the cast as Pinochio in this traditional show. The rest of the cast include Harlequin; James Peacock, Columbina/ Blue Fairy; Angharad McCann, Punch; Damian Hall Neal, Judy/Brighela/WPC Policewoman; Freyja Parsons Davies, Gipetto/Stromboli / PC Policeman; Stephen Bennett.

Jan Thomas at the Ucheldre said: “We hope families will want to build a visit to see Pinocchio it into their holiday plans for Christmas and New Year.

“It is packed with popular songs from movies, musicals and TV it looks set to be a show not to be missed by families.”

The show is on school dates: starting on Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21, at 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Show dates for the general public are: Saturday, December 22, from 2pm & 5pm, Sunday, December 23, at 3pm and also December 27, 28, 29, 30 at 3pm. New Year dates are January, 2, 3, 4 at 3pm
