THERE is plenty of entertainment on at Holyhead’s Ucheldre Centre during the next month.

Cracked, written by Emily Hinshelwood, is a moving and thought-provoking play about vulnerability, mental well-being and the universal need for love.

Mick Evans has a problem. His childhood imaginary friend Cavelle has become an inner voice that torments him at every turn and his professional life is in tatters.

The show features adult themes and strong language and is suitable for age 14+ The runs runs alongside a workshop at the centre.

The National Theatre Live production of David Hare’s I’m Not Running is on at 7pm, Thursday, January 31.

It is an explosive new play premiering at the NT and broadcast live to cinemas. Pauline Gibson has spent her life as a doctor. She crosses paths with her old boyfriend, a stalwart loyalist in Labour Party politics, and is faced with an agonising decision.

A live on stage piano recital The Great Romantic - Chopin, by Iwan Llewelyn-Jones is on at 7.30pm, on Saturday. February 2.

There is a broadcast of Met Opera Encore: Carmen (Georges Bizet) at 5.55pm on Sunday, February 3.

Another live event is Y Brain/Kargala Wales Tour Be Aware Productions at 7.30pm, on Saturday, February 16. The play explores belonging, identity and language.

There is a broadcast of ROH Ballet Live: Don Quixote at 7.15pm, on Tuesday, February 19. The story follows Don Quixote’s journey to do deeds in honour of an imaginary noble lady.

A Lit Soccreative writing workshop by Fiona Owen, is on from 1pm-3pm, on Friday, February 25. It is about writing short stories, according to American writer Flannery O’ Connor.

Tristan Evans gives a piano recital based on Kyffin Williams’ work at 7pm, Saturday February 23.
