THE perfect warm-up to the Brit Awards will rock up to Llandudno with three time winners the Kaiser Chiefs next week.
Ricky Wilson is once again assembling his fellow Leeds pop rockers for a visit to Venue Cymru on Monday, February 4.
Fans of good, old fashioned guitar rock can relive the last time indie pop reigned supreme in the UK charts by revisiting the band's noughties anthems Oh My God, I Predict A Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less.
Released in 2005, the band's debut album, Employment, sold more than two million copies and saw the band clinch three Brits in 2006.
Not to content to rest on being the soundtrack to the last hoorah of guitar rock reigning supreme over the pop charts, the five-piece have recently re-signed with their first major label, Polydor/Universal, and are back in the studio working on their seventh studio album.
The choppy new wave and new punk stylings of the garage rockers’ early days is something of a distant memory with the latterday Kaiser Chiefs.
Perhaps due to frontman Wilson’s tenure on The Voice, the band lean more towards pop sensibilities.
Catch up with the Kaiser Chiefs at Venue Cymru on Monday, February 4 at 7pm.
Tickets are £37, available from venuecymru.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01492 872000.
