A GLOBETROTTING male voice choir will fill the small village of Rhyd y Fioel with song this week.

Côr Meibion Llandulas will bring 65 years of tradition and an enduring bond forged through the shared love of Welsh and English choral music to Capel Salem in Rhyd y Foel on Thursday, April 11.

The event will help raise money towards the 2019 County of Conwy National Eisteddfod bas part of the Rhyd y Foel & Llandullas area appeal.

The choir was founded in 1954 and since then has endeared itself to many audiences throughout the world, having gained and maintained a reputation for a more varied programme than most Choirs, combined with a quality of sound which so richly deserves the arrangements created exclusively for Llanddulas.

Over the years, the Choir have performed in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and the USA and most countries throughout Europe and performed many Concerts to support various charities including several specific requests from organisations requiring funds to assist a particular cause.

A testament to the fellowship of this fantastic fraternity, Côr Meibion Llanddulas has only had two musical directors in 65 years, with harpist and pianist Eirlys Dwyryd currently creating most of the arrangements the choir perform.

So if you want to give your ears a real treat head to Capel Salem on Thursday, April 11 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £6, and are available on the door, from Llanddulas Post Office or by calling Ted Francis on 01745 823791.
