THE time is almost upon us to welcome a busload of fabulous musical entertainment to Rhyl.

Aussie actor and West End star Jason Donovan's revival of his homeland's LGBTQ classic, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is set to dazzle Pavilion audiences for six nights from Monday, September 23.

Heading up the cast for this glittering spectacle is former Strictly Come Dancing champion and Holby City star Joe McFadden, who will board the iconic bus the 'Queen of the Desert' as Tick, also know by his more glamorous moniker of Mitzi Del Bra.

Guiding first time producer Donovan is Mark Goucher productions, the team behind the critically-acclaimed West End and UK tour productions of Hairspray and Fame.

The story brings the 1994 film straight to Rhyl, introducing musical lovers to the flamboyant adventure of three friends – Felicia Jollygoodfellow, Mitzi and Bernadette Bassenger – who hop aboard a battered old bus bound for Alice Springs to stage the show of a lifetime.

The iconic hit musical has more glitter than ever before, featuring a dazzling array of stunning costumes, fabulous feathers and a non-stop parade of dance-floor classics including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, I Love The Nightlife, Finally and many more.

The Queen of the Desert begins its six day journey at The Pavilion from Monday, September 23 until Saturday 28, 2019 at 7.30pm along with a 2.30pm matinee performance on the Saturday.

Tickets start at £28.50 are available at rhylpavilion.co.uk or by telephoning the box office on 01745 330000
