ANGLESEY Show is an annual two day event, this year held on August 13 and 14.

The show at the Anglesey Showground, a 160-acre site owned by the Anglesey Agricultural Society. The Showground is in the centre of Anglesey, with easy access from the main road and the port of Holyhead.

The Anglesey Agricultural Show attracts approximately 60,000 people. As well as the spectacle of animals and livestock, the show boasts Shopping and Exhibition Pavilion, farm livestock, craft exhibitors, numerous exhibitions of the best home-grown vegetables and flowers, and much more. There are many breeds of sheep and classes of cattle. Pigs and goats also prove a great attraction, as well as the vast array of poultry and rabbits.

Gardeners love the horticultural marquee with over 1,300 entries from flower displays, cookery, produce and crafts. Poultry is featured in the Fur and Feather Marquee on the first day followed by Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Small Pets on the Wednesday. There will be around 350 trade stands, a large shopping area and food hall. At the Sports and Country Life activity area the International Gun Dog Competition will be held, as well as other dog competitions and Clay Target Shooting. There will also be a chance to try various sporting activities as well as rugby in the SP Energy Network/WRU Arena on both days. It was with "deepest regret" the Society cancelled Equine Sections, due to the outbreak of Equine Flu. However, volunteers have to arranged an exciting line up of other attractions and entertainment. In the Main Ring is The Paul Hannam Stunt Show, The Massey Ferguson Latest Technology Display, plus Meirion Owen’s Quack Pack. display

There will be a special Pageant by the Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society featuring the Best of Anglesey and Gwynedd Vintage Vehicles. The highlight on both days will be the Grand Parade of prize-winning livestock!

For the second-year running is the North Wales Strongman Competition, hosted by Hardcore Fitness Centre. This year there is also a ‘North Wales Strongwoman Competition. There will be a Tug of War Competition and a Hiitstep Masterclass. There is a Dog Arena with Fly Ball, Heal Work to Music and a Fun Dog Show, with the Waggiest Tail and Best Trick contest! The Entertainment Area in collaboration with TeliMôn has a bar, food court and stage. There are local Entertainers on the Stage. Gates open 8am and close at approx. 6pm both days.
