THERE has been an obvious improvement from Bala Town Ladies through the course of their debut competitive season.
Back in September, the Lakesiders' first ever North Wales League encounter ended in a 13-0 defeat versus Northop Hall.
Fast forward four months and Bala took on the unbeaten leaders once more.
On this occasion, the competitive Gwynedd side just lost out 4-0, against a side that is averaging more than six goals a game this season.
Bala Town community officer Andy Kelly said: "The improvements in our ladies team has been fantastic and has exceeded our expectations.
"Whilst results haven’t gone their way, the team, after only four months, is now competitive against the more established teams who have been in the league for years.
"I’m very confident if the ladies continue up the steep learning curve that we will get that first win and become a tough team to play against."
