THE world’s most famous aerobatic team are returning to Rhyl.

The Red Arrows will bring their breathtaking display back for the town’s air show on Sunday, August 26.

Also confirmed for the show, which also runs on Saturday, August 25, are the Dakota, Spitfire and Hurricane. Denbighshire County Council leader Hugh Evans, said: “This is the icing on the cake for what is shaping up to be a brilliant line-up for 2018.

“The RAF teams are a huge draw and people travel from all over the country to see them in action.

“The show brings in tens of thousands of people on to the promenade and provides a huge boost to our local economy, with those visitors spending money in our shops, restaurants and hotels.”

Other displays confirmed include the world-famous British Army parachute display team The Red Devils and high energy aerobatics from Steve Carver.

Thousands flocked to Rhyl promenade for two-days of free flying entertainment last year.

The event is organised by Denbighshire County Council in partnership with Rhyl Town Council.

The full line-up will be revealed in due course.
