An appeal is being made to help trace a camera that is believed to have been lost during the impact of the fatal crash near Denbigh in which two Belgian nationals died.

The device, belonging to motorcyclists Danny Pieraerts, 65, and his wife Agnes De Schuymer, 64, was lost during the crash on the A543 between Groes and Denbigh last Friday - April 20.

North Wales Police say that, despite a thorough search of the area, a silver coloured Sony Cybershot camera, which was believed to have been attached to a lanyard being worn by the pillion passenger is missing.

The family of the rider and pillion know that the camera was last used approximately 15 minutes prior to the collision, and are desperate to retrieve photographs that will be on the device.

Anybody who may have information as to the whereabouts of the camera are asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via the live web chat quoting reference number W050328.
