Members of Soroptimist International Denbigh, Ruthin & District held a belated human rights night at the Brookhouse Mill.
Guest speaker on the night was retired surgeon Miss Christine Evans.
Miss Evans spoke to the large crowd of her travels to Iraq and Kurdistan and work she still does in the region within the hospitals in the area.
The evening was supported by Soroptimist from Rhyl, Llandudno and Ruthin Inner Wheel. While president Tom Yule and guests from St Asaph Rotary and president Keith Roberts, Rhyl Rotary, also attended the evening.
