PHOTOGRAPHERS are being reminded to send in their entries for a Denbigh calendar competition before the end of the month.

The calendar competition run by Denbigh in Bloom (DIB), a gardening volunteer group, asks photographers of all abilities to take their best floral-themed shot of Denbigh to be submitted for a Denbigh calendar for 2019.

It is hoped that competition will promote community involvement and encourage people to take pride in their town.

Helen Cawthray, deputy chair for DIB, said: "We've had some lovely shots from snowy scenes to wildflowers but we're keen to get a wider variety for our judges, including Lady Elizabeth Hamner, the high sheriff of Clwyd."

Images sent in to the competition's judging panel must reflect the theme, Denbigh in Bloom, and must taken within two miles of Denbigh town.

All entries will be presented to the judging panel following the competition closing date on Friday, August 31.

The winners will be notified within two weeks.
