THE services of two fire crews and an ambulance were required by a chip pan fire in Bala yesterday.

Crews from Bala and Corwen attended to the fire caused by a pan left on a heated hob in a home on Berwyn Street, Bala at 5.33pm yesterday.

One person was treated at the scene by ambulance services.

A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called to the scene of a chip pan fire at 5.33pm on Wednesday, August 8.

"Two crews from Bala and Corwen attended.

"The fire was caused by a pan left on a hob.

"Fire damage was limited to the pan.

"One person was treated at the scene by the ambulance service."
