A WELSH Bond villain will take to the stage for a reflection on the centenary of the end of World War One in St Asaph.

Games of Thrones, Pirates of the Carribean and Tomorrow Never Dies actor Jonathon Pryce, of Carmel near Holywell, will join the Trelawnyd and Bro Glyndŵr Male Voice Choirs, Côr Cytgan Clwyd and the A5 Brass Quintet as part of the North Wales International Music Festival later this September.

The programme includes wartime poetry read by Hollywood actor Pryce, as well as a selection of music from Karl Jenkins, William Mathias, Samuel Barber and Michael Kamen.

Musical accompaniment will also feature a string of more contemporary music, including Bring Him Home from Les Misérables and a wartime medley with songs such as Pack up your Troubles.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 30 at 7.30pm at St Asaph Cathedral.
