PEOPLE over the age of 50 in Denbighshire have the opportunity to improve their mental wellbeing.

This month, Vale of Clwyd Mind (VCM), the mental health charity, will run a new Welsh Government funded project, ‘My Generation’, which aims to help people over 50 to explore tips and advice on how to deal with difficult times in their lives, such as leaving work, loneliness, money worries and bereavement whilst meeting like-minded people.

The free sessions, which take place every Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm at the Eirianfa Centre, Denbigh, include: exploring and managing stress (today); exploring feelings and emotions through drumming (September 19); exploring feelings and emotions through fine art (September 26); exploring loss, grief and renewal (October 3); exploring relaxation and mindfulness (October 10); exploring problem solving (October 17); and exploring connections (October 24).
