An 18-year-old Denbigh man who had cocaine, cannabis and Ketamine in his blood when stopped in a car at Rhyl was placed under a five-month overnight curfew after he admitted drug-driving on Wednesday.

John Dickson, of Cwm Eithin, Denbigh, an administrative assistant off sick at the moment, was also banned for 25 months and must pay £170 costs.

Magistrates at Llandudno heard police had smelled cannabis coming from the car in which there were two passengers.

A probation officer said Dickson had smoked cannabis since the age of 16 and the teenager claimed the cannabis must have had the other drugs mixed in it.

Defence solicitor Nia Dawson said Dickson had learned his lesson.

She said he had anxiety and depression.
