AN ABERGELE school played host to a European Bake off.
The contest took place at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan. Pupils made cakes and biscuits with a European theme.
Jess Brierley claimed first prize, second place was awarded to Megan Finnegan and third to Molly Owen.
Carys McKenzie won the staff prize. The event raised £58 for the Alzheimer’s society.
Entries were judged on taste and appearance. Judges included Elaine Heyes, Ffion Thomas, Mark Cameron and Ed Tugwell from the Languages department.
Miss Heyes, who organised the competition, said: "We had some fantastic entries and judging was very difficult."
