THE Journal has been inundated with your pictures of some ghastly goings on this Halloween.

More than 200 people submitted spooky photographic proof showing the frightening transformations of their loved ones, as children - and more than a few grown ups - got into the spirit.

From ghoulish reimaginings of Disney princesses, to little pumpkins enjoying their first fancy dress and a visit to Kinmel Bay by Scooby Doo, this year's creative offerings in Rhyl, Prestatyn, Abergele and Rhuddlan didn't disappoint.

Across the coast there was a whole host of events taking place, including a pumpkin carving competition at Spooktacular Prestatyn, an autumn disco at Ysgol Glan Gele and North Wales Police even getting in on the action with it's own creepy celebration - as well, of course, as plenty of trick or treating.
