PRESTATYN's festival of Christmas trees is fast approaching.

The popular annual event will see Prestatyn Parish Church transformed into a winter wonderland of decorated trees created by school children and organisations.

The event will run from Monday, November 26 until Friday, November 30 - 1pm until 5pm and until 7pm on the Thursday and on Saturday, December 1 from 10.30am until 3.30pm,

There will be musical interludes, refreshments, crafts and treasure hunt.

On Monday, there will be singing from Ysgol Penmorfa infants (1pm) and Ysgol Clawdd Offa at 2pm; on Tuesday, Ysgol Melyd at 1.30pm; Wednesday, Penmorfa Juniors at 1.30pm; Thursday, Ysgol Bodnant at 1.30pm and 4pm, Prestatyn High School and Friday, at 1.30pm, Ysgol y Llys.

Saturday includes Music Makers and 4pm, the prize giving.

Admission: Adult £2, children £1, family ticket £5, Under 5’s free.

This year, there is also a concert on Wednesday, November 28. This will start at 7pm - doors open from 6pm.

Set amongst the Christmas trees, the evening will feature Jane Hartley - mezzo soprano, Beulah Brass and Geoffrey Evans - guitarist, singer and songwriter.
