FIVE break-ins have taken place in Denbigh in the largest spate of attacks on commercial premises in the town in recent months.

North Wales Police confirmed the break-ins which happened on the high street and nearby-roads; some took place over the weekend and this morning (November 19).

A police spokesperson said: "A series of attempted burglaries have taken place over the weekend and on Monday morning.

"Two were attempted break-ins, two gained entry and in one incident items were stolen."

The premises include Cutters Hair and Nails Deluxe on Vale Street, Queen's Salon and Bargain Boutique on Mount Pleasant, and Eezi Bite on Bridge Street.

Items including a till and CCTV box were taken from Queen's Salon.

Responding to the burglaries, inspector Andy Kirkham said: “We are aware of the problem and are stepping up patrols in the area.

“We would also ask owners of commercial premises to review their security measures ensuring they have are robust systems in place, and that the public continue to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us.

"Please be assured we will continue to put pressure on those responsible for committing crime in Denbigh or anywhere else within the area.”
