AN AMATEUR drama group is getting ready for a magical ride.

Conwy Civic Hall Amateur Players Society (CHAPS) will be performing pantomime Aladdin this year.

Margaret Norwood, secretary of CHAPS, said: "We have had regular rehearsals at the Memorial Hall this time and found that very helpful.

"We have welcomed two newcomers to our pantomime; villain Abanazar is played by Keith Wood and Princess Jasmine is played by Grace Wood.

"The ladies of the Harem open the show in true Arabian style and Donna Jones is enjoying playing the 'lady' dame again.

"The Chinese policemen, Ping and Pong, are played by Jenny Phillips and Linda Skuse who try to bring law and order to the town of Peking but are up against the Slave of the Ring."

Performances will take place on Friday, November 30 at 7.30pm and Saturday, December 1 at 2.30pm at the Trinity Centre, Llandudno.

Further shows will be held at the Memorial Hall in Llandudno Junction on Friday, December 7 at 7.30pm, Saturday, December 8 at 2.30pm and Sunday, December 9 at 2.30pm.
