A North Wales tech company is celebrating the successes of its apprentices.

Pinacl Solutions says it is delighted with the achievements of three young apprentices and is keen to take on more young talent.

Rhys Harper joined the St Asaph-headquartered business as an apprentice project manager but such was his progress he was promoted to project manager six months ahead of schedule.

Louis Anglesea and Zac Davies joined Pinacl as apprentices in the company’s accounts team.

Zac has successfully completed his apprenticeship, passing his Level 3 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) exams. He is now Pinacl’s management accounts assistant.

Louis has passed his Level 2 AAT exams and is now working towards his Level 3, after which he will become a qualified accounts assistant.

Sue Davies, Pinacl’s HR director, said: “We are passionate about creating opportunities for and developing young talent and we have been delighted with the fantastic progress that has been made by our three apprentices.

“All three have shown huge commitment and a real desire to learn and develop and we look forward to continuing to watch their progress over the coming years.

“We are also keen to bring on other young apprentices, continuing to create jobs in the North Wales economy.”

Rhys said: “I am extremely proud of what I have achieved and I cannot thank Pinacl enough for the support they have given me. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career.”

Pinacl works across the UK providing public and private sector organisations with a range of innovative digital transformation solutions. The company is over 35 years old and employs almost 50 staff.

Its innovative products include cutting-edge sensor technology to enable social housing providers to maintain their properties and improve tenant health.

A growing number of social housing providers are using the company’s sensors to slash their maintenance bills by detecting issues such as damp, fuel poverty and abandoned properties.

Among early adopters of the technology are Newport City Homes, Halton Housing and City of York Council.

Pinacl provides a full end-to-end solution from sensor, Internet of Things (IoT) network to application dashboard. The sensors monitor humidity, temperature and Co2 and are able to provide hourly readings on to the dashboard.
