DO you think that there is something beyond our realms of the living?

That's the question being posed by The Silver Mountain Experience in Mid-Wales who are inviting ghost hunters to carry out their own paranormal investigations inside the attraction's network of restored Victorian mines.

Located in the western Cambrian mountains approximately 11 miles from Aberystwyth on the A44, the Silver Mountain Experience was originally a silver-rich lead ore mine primarily from the 19th Century.

By 1973 the Llywernog Mine was derelict, but since then, the current owner, after years of careful work, has restored its once dark and forgotten underground tunnels for future generations to explore.

Led by an expert team from Etheral Investigations Wales, the attraction is now giving the opportunity to groups of friends to go down into the tunnels where they can experience their spooky surroundings during the dead of night.

With rumours and sightings of spectres of long-dead Victorian miners walking the tunnels this is certainly not a night out for the faint-hearted but could be the ideal destination for those looking to celebrate their birthday, stag do or hen do in a more qunique way.

Each hunt lasts more than six hours, taking place between 8pm and 2am, and there is a set price of £250 for up to eight people - anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dates are subject to availability and anyone who fancies a work outing or stag do with a difference should contact the team directly.

Guided ghost tours are also available to the general public from Saturday, February 2, with further dates organised for March and September .
